List of 1%, Who Are They?
Mitt Romney is a multi-millionaire (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitt_Romney), and was the 70th governor of Massachusetts from 2002-2007, also winning the Republican nomination for President in 2012 even as he was defeated by Barack Obama; in the November 2012 general election, with a loss of 332-206 in the electoral college. Bob Perkowitz is President of ecoAmerica who objects to W’s tax cuts for the wealthy, backed Obama in 2008 for re-election. He is an environmentalist who cycles in order to call attention to environmental issues. You see, the 1% do not talk about how much money they have very often. (https://www.economist.com/node/21543178) These 1%ers know they are loaded.
During the 2016 election cycle, Bernie was trying to educate us about this. To him, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer and the middle class disappears according to Bernie. (https://www.forbes.com/sites/laurengensler/2016/06/16/one-percent-by-state-income-inequality/#7b68be60be3a) Something must be done about the rich getting richer, as they need to redistribute the wealth so everybody has enough money for everything. Otherwise, we run the risk of destroying our entire planet. So it would seem that the 1% get 85% of total economic growth that never trickles down to the little people. To become 1%, household income must be at $389, 436, to be considered 1% material, although the threshold is higher on the East Coast, such as Connecticut ($659,979), Washington, D.C. ($554,719) and New Jersey ($547,737).
You see, the actual numbers get much higher in certain metropolitan areas such as the Jackson-Wyoming ski resorts at $1.65 million, and Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk, Connecticut being $1.39 million although in Summit Park, Utah the minimum income to be a one percenter is $1.21 million. New Mexico is easier with 1% being defined as earning an income of $231, 276. https://qz.com/844037/if-the-worlds-wealthiest-1-had-a-members-club-it-would-look-like-this/
48 million people are in the 1% of humanity that control the world’s wealth. This is the 1% I want to be a part of, according to (https://www.credit-suisse.com/corporate/en/media/news/articles/media-releases/2016/11/en/credit-suisse-research-institute-publishes-global-wealth-report-2016.html) The thing is, if anybody has $744, 400 or more they are a member of this group, and nobody gets their money anyway. I came across a Forbes article in which the 2018 billionaires are listed as 2,208 billionaires from 72 countries and territories. (https://www.forbes.com/billionaires/#53ce0e4f251c). Jeff Bezos is a centi-billionaire who has a 12-figure fortune, surpassing Bill Gates who is number 2. Warren Buffet is #3 billionaire on this list cited above. Mark Zuckerberg is #5. Women on the list are #16, Alice Walton, an art curator who doesn’t work for Walmart since her art collection is valued at hundreds of millions of dollars.
L’Oreal owner Francoise Bettencourt Meyers and family own 33% of L’Oreal stock. Jacqueline Mars, an American on this list as I’m only focusing on Americans billionaires at this time, has $23.6 Billion. So there you have it, women billionaires because of their families or themselves. Female billionaires exist but not that many. Income brackets stifle the commoner who only has a certain amount of income they can build. This system is quite unflattering for an evolving planet like Earth. I plan on redistributing my wealth by buying food for Africans, and more things like giving away money in the form of cashier’s checks.
