What is Qigong?

January 12, 2020

Qigong is an alternative energy healing technique that features exercises that are about certain postures. It comes from China where acupuncture was also invented. Slow qigong movements help warm tendons, ligaments, and muscles, while the movements help tone vital organs and connective tissue. Bodily fluids are allowed to circulate better using the Qigong exercises designed for this purpose. Qigong is useful to heal high blood pressure, chronic illness which includes but is not limited to emotional frustration, mental stress, and spiritual crisis. It is possible to study Qigong on your own, but also there is a need to work with a qualified teacher. I had worked with Dr. Effie Chow studying the Qigong discipline. Qigong can also help increase the great reflexes that martial arts can give. There are many different types of Qigong invented that are up to the practitioner to show people.
