What is the difference between demonic possession and spirit possession?

Demonic possession involves a demon, or another life form on this planet that is geared towards negativity. It should be noted, that in the Bible Jesus heals demonic possession.  Spirits are different from demons in that they used to have a human body. Spirit possession is about a spirit inhabiting the body of a living person to get them to do something for them.  I was once possessed by my grandma and left a frying pan on the stove in a house I was living in.  This was in college, back when I wasn’t allowed to be mentally stable, with a concrete diagnosis.  Now I’m so stable I can run circles around my family with who is the more stable, but will they ever admit they need more than one level of help?  No.
