What is Therapy?
Talking to someone can bring great relief to a person suffering from mental illness. Stress can cause many a mental health symptom. Talk therapy or psychotherapy as my Introduction to Psychology textbook points out, is all about a therapist addressing the problems of one person who needs help but can’t feel right about asking anybody else. Therapists generally know about mental health issues. They are able to decipher the differences between various mental health disorders. To get into therapy is not a bad thing, but it is a great way of managing mental health. Therapy isn’t so bad, because they know how to unteach or deprogram your emotions, leaving you better able to sort out lies from truth.
