Borderline personality disorder is a personality disorder that responds well to psychotherapy or talk therapy treatments. Borderline involves having major emotional upheavals, and trying not to get abandoned but behaving in ways that instigate abandonment. Borderline personality has to be managed in such a way as to eventually quite possibly dealing with it very well. But a person can’t be in denial about their borderline status, they have to actually want to get well, using therapy to do it. Sometimes borderline personality disorder helps people wind up in the hospital where they get treatment, and afterwards are released. People with borderline also have an alcohol problem in addition to their symptoms. People with borderline often benefit from mood stabilizers. Borderline people need a variety of treatment in order to become remotely functional.

I want to start a safe house system for those escaping abusive families. We have limited resources; I’d buy a house in Los Angeles close to UCLA, an ice cream shop, and a Target. That’s where I’ve had visions my house is at any rate. It will be a 5-bedroom house with a bathroom for each bedroom, so that we all have our own space. I want to fill it with chronically ill or disabled people who are trying to escape their abusive families while trying to get stable. Bipolar roommates must be on medication, and medication consistent. We who escape abusive families have no means of escape sometimes or people who counsel us. We need more support than we let on.
I know that restarting my academic career involves signing up for English 1A, Psych 1, and well, maybe BUSI 18, business law which is necessary for Business Administration, and a paralegal degree also. I’m crazy enough to want more AA degrees, and more Bachelor’s degrees. I want to set records with how many degrees I have. I wrote a spreadsheet with the actual classes I need to take, and here it is:
AA PSYCHOLOGY REQ COMPLETED AT JC
PSCY 1 GENERAL PSYCHOLOGY taken once, can be retaken
PSYC 7 STATISTICS BEHAVE SCI
MATH 10 ELEMENTARY STATS
PSYC 10 RESEARCH METHODS AND DESIGN
PSYC 4 INTRO TO BIOPSYCHOLOGY
PSYCH 25 ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY
PSYCH 22 PSYCHOLOGY OF PREJUDICE/DISCRIMINATION
BIOL 10 GENERAL BIO
PSYCH 30 SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY
SOC 1 INTRO TO SOCIOLOGY
ANTH 1 PHYSICAL ANTH – RETAKE
ANTH 2A CULTURAL ANTH
ENGLISH 1A TO BE RETAKEN
WMN 5 WOMEN’S STUDIES, DONE
The jury is still out for whether or not I need to take English 1B but I guarantee I have at least WMN 5 in my memory. I have to get my transcript so I can see how many classes I took, and what classes I need. Now that everything is online, that is a huge advantage. There wound up being an online option. It is so cool, because things suck right now with the pandemic but at least school is online now.
Talk therapy provides ways of dealing with stress. Kindness in itself can be very therapeutic if you are lucky enough to have a kind therapist, since I’ve had many who have crossed lines, whom I have complained about. But anyway, my family thinks psychology is bonk and doesn’t go to a single psychologist or psychiatrist while I have spent years in therapy trying to piece together why they hate my guts. But anyway, psychology is a valid science only because we have spent the last 100 years perfecting it, making it make sense, and helping people overcome mental health problems. Not taking medication is a very self-destructive act that simply means people not on medication will not be hearing from me anytime soon. Psychology is a science, and an art, and I’m getting a B.S. and an M.S. and a Ph.d. in it at a future date when I have the money.
